Dinner at Ara's.

The view straight ahead --Cheongcho Lake

Recently, our friend Ara moved into a new apartment near AP (on the top floor of the orthopedic hospital). He has a spectacular view of the Sokcho skyline along Lake Cheongcho, which at night, when it's all lit up, is quite breathtaking. He also has access to the roof, which makes a perfect spot to enjoy a summer evening meal. So tonight he had us over for marinated pork tenderloin, rice, bruschetta on french bread, and homemade peach cobbler (which was awesome!). It's rare in Korea to find someone who has an oven (and he does), so we are always eager to enjoy fresh sweet baked goods of any sort! Thanks, Ara!! This weekend we've had gorgeous cloudless blue skies and sun, and it was great to enjoy our dinner together outside. Also, we're savoring these final weekends with Kirsty and Helen, as they only have 2 weeks left in Sokcho!!
