Happy Birthday Kelsey!

Happy Birthday, Kelsey!

Though we missed the actual date (since Paul's parents were in town), Kelsey gave us a second chance to help her celebrate turning 25! (What an old lady!) Last night Paul, Conor, Ara, Frauge (Kelsey's "couch surfer"--a traveler from Germany who was spending the weekend in Sokcho), Kelsey and I went out for galbi. Galbi is barbequed pork, and something we eat often, but this time it was a beautiful night and we tried a new galbi place that had outdoor seating. Their kimchi was a little strange, but the galbi was excellent. Afterwards, we headed back to Kelsey's place for birthday cake and to hang out in her posh palace (Kelsey is a public school teacher, and got a swell apartment with all new appliances and furniture when she signed on--we love to tease her about living the high life!). Being so far away from those we love makes celebrating special occasions here even more important, since we miss out on birthdays and other events at home (BTW, Happy Birthday, DAD!)
But seriously Kelsey, we hope this is a terrific year for you!
