Mini-bikes at Expo.

Hels on wheels - the birthday girl

Yesterday was Hels' birthday, and her and Kirsty's last Saturday in Sokcho. They'd been crossing several things off of their "must do" list, but one of the last things remaining was renting mini-bikes at Expo Park. Expo Park is next to Cheongcho Lake, and about a 5 minute walk from our apartment. You can rent mini-bikes there for $10 an hour (we paid $5 for half an hour), and ride along the boardwalk and through the many twisty paths that wind around the park. It's a huge hang-out spot for kids and families, but it's not uncommon to see grown men renting and enjoying these mini-bikes. The bikes are powered by batteries, and are quite peppy! We were sorry we hadn't tried it sooner, because we had a blast zooming around on them....and I'm sure the many AP students we saw got a kick out of seeing their English teachers acting like goofy kids....
