The other lake in Sokcho - Yeongnangho.

Two nuns walking on the path around Yeongnangho.
A bit of spring peeking through.
Paul and I on one of the other wonders of Sokcho -- Beombawi Rock.
Paul, Ara, and Kelsey resting on Beombawi.
A view of Yeongnangho Lake from Beombawi Rock.

After our trip to the flea market, Paul, Ara, Kelsey and I headed to Yeongnangho Lake, the other lake in Sokcho (which is north of us, right by Dongjin, where Ara lives). Yeongnangho is quite a bit bigger than Cheongcho Lake and has a great walking trail around it. People can parasail here, rent cabins, bike, or just enjoy the view from one of the many resting points. It's also the site of Beombawi -- a famous tiger-shaped rock that has a nice view up top. Beombawi is also a popular suicide spot in Sokcho...several folks have taken the plunge into the lake. Negative history, but a nice rock :)

Yay! You're back. I'm afraid my computer may be coming down with something, too. The pictures and company look wonderful. Sorry to be so delinquent about commenting ... it's been a weird month. Anyhoo - I'm glad you're back.
