While in Seoul, Paul and I stayed in Insadong. Our friend Ara also went to Seoul this past weekend, and he showed us the hotel he usually stays in. Insadong is full of galleries, shops, and antique stores. Our hotel was a love motel--it had free internet, cable, a stocked refrigerator, and even matching terry cloth robes (Ara's room even had a round bed!) Insadong was a great spot to be in because it was full of great restaurants and nice parks. Sunday night we walked around Insadong and through the little nooks and crannies, which were packed with couples on dates. I also found Tapgol Park, which had a memorial for Korea's Independence Day, a 500-yr. old pagoda, and several really neat murals depicting the fight for independence.
