Bound for Bohol!

At the end of July, AP takes a week off for summer break. Paul and I had long been debating where to go for our 9 days off. Initially I'd wanted to see Japan, but then after consulting friends here we felt that there were plenty of other interesting destinations that wouldn't be quite so expensive, such as Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Laos. Well, we started to check some travel websites and found that things were booking up fast, so we had our coworker Jenny (who's Korean) help us navigate some Korean travel sites and help us secure some tickets to the Philippines!Several of our teacher friends here spent Christmas in Bohol, an island in the Philippines, and raved about the beauty and friendliness of this place. So we have decided to check it out for ourselves! Personally, I'm really looking forward to mango shakes, renting motorbikes for $10 a day, visiting the tarsier sanctuary, seeing old Spanish churches, and falling asleep to the sound of coconuts dropping from trees...
